The Scene:
A low-lit bar in northern Spain, the sun has just set, leaving only subtle trails of amber clouds in a darkening indigo sky. The building has large windows to the front of the street that are swung open, letting the cool night air pass through the darkened dance floor.
Through the front door a young man, maybe 18 or 19 years old walks in and hears the start of the next song to play on the jukebox. It is Bob Marley’s “No Woman No Cry”. And that people… is a good jam. First time that I ever heard it and that moment was imprinted on my memory.
(I’m sure a better writer could do it justice, but I had to have a little fun with the set-up.)
The song is a classic, but I started playing it one night and figured I might as well try my best to pay homage to this incredible song and amazing artist.
