I thought by now you would realize
that I have been trying to find
something I left behind.
Hold on to what you think you’ll need.
Don’t hold onto a fantasy.
I will bleed if I meet with something sharper than me.
I will break; all it takes is one more careless mistake.
Time only willing.
Everyone looks happy when they’re fast asleep.
Cuz in our dreams we cling to things that we could not keep.
Oh why can’t you see it in my eyes
that I have been trying from the start.
When I gave you my heart?
I will bleed if I meet with something sharper than me.
I will break; another look from you is all it will take.
